The lens's bright f1.4 maximum aperture lets you work in low-light conditions. Additionally, its large aperture enables you to precisely control depth of field to isolate subjects when using selective focus techniques.
Designed for APS-C-format cameras, this compact and portable lens has a 36mm full-frame equivalent focal length.
It features two aspheric elements for outstanding corner-to-corner sharpness, plus two high index elements for high color transmission with minimal chromatic aberrations. Ribbed focus ring provides a pleasing tactile experience when manually focusing. Offering excellent subject separation, a nine-blade diaphragm provides pleasing background blur, also known as bokeh.
Two ED (low-dispersion) elements and two high-refraction elements help reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing for improved clarity and color neutrality.
De-clicked aperture ring allows for smooth and quiet adjustments, which are especially useful when filming video.
