I did research on various cameras before purchasing this one. I liked this one came with a fairly cheap 4 year warranty for roughly $12 as a piece of mind in case something goes wrong with it. I hired a professional to do the install for my home and he was able to get it up and running in about 4 hours. He told me the camera is a good solid build and it appears to be a good system based off of his knowledge. The picture quality is amazingly clear at 5 megapixels. The app worked as advertised and was as simple as scanning the bar code on the dvr box and entering your password in (it's the Homeview app on google play store). The dvr is a plug and play device that plugs into your router and tv via hdmi. The display on my tv is vivdly clear. The Swann system is working like a charm so far and I have a giant piece of mind being able to keep an eye on my home when I'm not there. I just started reviewing movement that the Swann picks up during the day and its very responsive, even picking up movement across the street at a neighbors house. Its easy to navigate on the dvr, which by the way holds an insane amount of memory at 2 TB. The installer told me thats well beyond most systems for home security. I also figured out to get push notifications on the app for your phone you need to activate that option on the dvr. I've had no problems with the app at all, which was a concern at first when reading some reviews here who had issues. Overall, I like this camera system and its priced at a fair price IMO.
