This product has great functionality but does not work reliably, which makes it kind of useless.My application is residential and I only check the videos when needed. Two weeks ago I went checking the videos and found one camera not recording for quite some time. The real-time display was totally black with no audio, but the signal strength was normal. It turned out the camera had somehow managed to un-match itself from the recorder, and needed to be manually re-matched (as if installing a replacement camera). Tech support said it's due to lost wifi connection (weak signal, bad weather...) but could not explain why I could turn the camera off for 10 minutes (to emulate connection loss), turn it back on and it would re-connect automatically without the need to be manually re-matched. I think the product is meant to be able to re-connect by itself (just like how laptops and cell phones works) but there's a bug that causes the recorder to randomly 'forget' a camera. The bottom line is that I didn't get to see the video that I wanted to see this time, and it could happen again in the future.I also noticed that when the recorder was placed near my Roku, it would degrade the video quality of the movies. The system has 2 wifi setups, one for linking recorder and cameras, the other for linking recorder and router (for mobile access). I had the latter turned off but it didn't help. I then had the channel frequency set to 'auto' on the recorder and it didn't help neither. Ended up moving the recorder to another location.
