Great price and installation was easy. The app downloaded to control it is free and worked fine. I like the feature where you can zoom in and out and move the camera at all directions. However, I can't give it a 5-star review. I didn't see a feature of Siren in the app even though I downloaded the most resent version. Also, there is misleading information on cable length and type in the video which shows different type of cable and longer length than the actual cable. The warranty on this is nowhere to be found. I went to the Panoraxy site to register the product; the site is a joke. Overall, so far so good on this camera and no other issues found.I love that the motion detection can be painted on to a grid of the area being filmed. It has night vision, a flood light even audio. Throw in a memory card and it still gets the vid everytime so no gaps in uploads like some other way more expensive cameras. The pic quality even on SD is really good and in HD you can zoom in on anything and clear as a bell. Wifi was easy breezy some can be a pain this one was one click of a button then add wifi info on app and off you goIt works better than I thought it would. The directions don’t always speak amateur language. The camera wants to “ oscillate “ , and I haven’t found out how to make it stay motionless. The camera is good. The only problem with it you have to be aware of when you put in the SD memory card. It is very, very easy to drop it inside the camera like I did. There's no protection from it falling inside the camera. It's really a bad design. I'm going to have to try to take it apart to get my SD card out. They need to put something in this camera so it will not fall inside. Very very bad design. For the purpose of knowing if there is movement is around your house or goes by, it’s perfect. However the photo quality is poor especially at night. You can see people all blurred but you would never recognize anyone.I love this product. Used it for security purposes outside my appt door.I bought 2 one for the front yard and the second for the back yard and I’m happy with the purchaseCaught a person in my back yard the same week I put these up,wow!!!!The 2k 3MP 360 Security Camera by P PANORAXY came with power supply, 3 screws with anchors and instructions.Typical of cheap cameras, the name on the camera is rarely the manufacturer. In this case, this camera is actually a re-badged 2AVKP-BF-BK04 manufactured by Shenzen Bovision Technology.Pro Tip: before you purchase, test your WIFI strength at the intended installation location. No point in climbing that ladder and installing only to discover your WIFI strength is insufficient or non-existent.That out of the way, camera body and mount is made entirely of plastic. Given the price and the fact it's consumer grade gear, this is entirely expected/acceptable, however I do question some of the manufacturer's design choices:• Having the reset button/SD slot on the rotating camera housing can cause grief. Both are covered with a single piece of thin rubber to help protect from the elements, which is a good thing, however, if you ever have to reset the camera, you will struggle to situate the rubber gasket back in place before the camera starts spinning and rotating as part of its start-up.• Placement of the SD card (bottom of camera) is such that it offers no protection from tampering and is easily accessible. No screwdriver necessary, a thief can just pop off the gasket to remove the card. When it comes to performance, all audio functions worked well, and the picture was reasonable and clear, even in the dark so long as you don't place objects too close to it e.g. be sure to adjust it so that it isn’t displaying the wall/siding immediately next to it or it will "hot spot" at night - you won't see much past the object/siding.The installation process requires you to install the “Cloud Edge” app from Google Play or Apple's App Store. Installation couldn't have been easier, and was entirely problem free. With respect to installation, again, check your WIFI strength at the location you intend to install it PRIOR to actually installing it. It would be quite frustrating to drill a hole in your home and complete the physical installation only to discover WIFI coverage is dodgy at best. Once you've confirmed suitable WIFI strength, complete the app setup portion inside your home. You can thank me later. Also, note that although the camera is rated for outside installation, the power supply is NOT rated for damp/wet environments. This HAS to be protected from the weather. You just cannot plug it into an exposed outdoor receptacle and be done with it.Having been working with computers/IT for decades, I am inherently distrustful of mass-produced, cheaply sold internet capable devices. As such, if I choose to use one, to minimize unwanted intruders/privacy issues, I block the devices from accessing the internet directly. When it comes to cameras, I enable the ONVIF feature and use my NVR to connect/route video instead of having to give multiple cameras direct internet access. Although this camera does support ONVIF, its functionality is crippled by the manufacturer's firmware (read on).Whenever this camera boots up (rebooting after power loss etc.) it will come back online automatically (that's the good!). Now, if, like me, you block the camera from accessing some unknown cloud server on the internet directly, and rely on an NVR and the camera's ONVIF capabilities, all bets are off. The camera actively denies any attempt to connect to it (via the app and/or RTSP/ONVIF) unless you unblock/allow it to communicate with said unknown servers outside your network. Once it makes it call back the mothership, you can then block it again... until the next reboot. This is huge alarm bell to me. Your ONVIF camera should never HAVE to speak to a server outside YOUR network to perform basic functions once updated/activated. Further, if the app was coded properly, and your phone and camera were on the same network, internet access would also NOT be required to communicate with the camera. What does this mean? Well, if the company ever closes up shop, shuts down said server, decides they don’t like you, or they are unavailable for maintenance etc. your camera becomes a paper weight until they choose otherwise. How's that for security? Security should be 24/7, not based on someone outside your personal network. To be clear, I can understand why access would be required initially - update firmware/security patches, some advanced features like cloud storage etc. - but it should absolutely NOT be required for basic operation, especially when it comes to ONVIF access.Ask yourself one question: Why does a foreign (or any) manufacturer insist on being granted access to YOUR personal network 24/7 in order for you to use YOUR camera? Tisk. Tisk.Bottom line is that although this camera "supports" RTSP/ONVIF, it still requires direct access to the internet at all times for consistent/reliable operation.Design choices and privacy issues aside, if you’re comfortable with the above type of behavior, given the price point, this is a decent camera. If, however, like me you're concerned with privacy and don’t think someone outside your home should control whether you can use your camera, this is a pass.PROS:+ Simple Installation.+ Reasonable build quality.+ Decent picture.+ Intuitive app.+ Feature rich.CONS:- Questionable design flaws (see bullets above).- Privacy/access concerns (won’t work unless you allow it to communicate with unknown servers outside your network).- RTSP/ONVIF absolutely useless since you'll be unable to access camera if isolated from the internet.TL;DRWhile the 2k 3MP 360 Security Camera by P PANORAXY is a relatively capable camera amongst its peers/price point, it does come up short on privacy/accessibility options.I hope you found this review helpful to your decision making. This is a review of the Panoraxy BF-BK04 model Wifi PTZ Camera.I spent a lot of time testing it out. It’s a lengthy review but I’m sharing my detailed findings to help people determine if this is a camera for them. Here goes….I reviewed this camera using a SanDisk Extreme 64GB MicroSD card that I purchased separately (and works fine) and a Samsung S8 Android phone. I mounted it under my carport, about 7 feet off the ground.Configuration/Installation:The name of the app is CloudEdge. It is available in the Google Play Store for Android. I use this app for a couple of other cameras and I like it.As with most cameras, it requires 2.4ghz Wifi only (5ghz is not supported). Make sure that your Smart phone is on your 2.4ghz Wifi network before starting configuration (you can change it back to 5ghz after adding the device If you wish). Note: Like all Wifi cameras, you have to be on the same local network only to perform the initial one-time setup. After that you can access the device from anywhere in the world using the app (as long as you have an internet connection).I see this camera only being side/wall mounted as the mounting bracket is fixed. There is a “flip screen” option however if for some reason you want to mount it upside down.Adding the device in the app and Wifi setup was straight forward. It went without a hitch except for a disturbing message that I sometimes see about the network name or password length being too long (see pic). My Wifi name is 9 characters long and my password is 32. Neither is at the maximum possible length. The camera/app should accept up to any “acceptable” length of characters for these fields and not issue a warning message like this. Despite this warning, the Wifi setup completed OK for me.A quick start guide is included that covers how to add the device in the app.Main Features:The camera rotates almost completely around providing a possible 360-degree view. It can also rotate up & down at least 90 degrees. It supports a MicroSD card up to 128GB for recordings.Cloud storage is an available option for an ongoing cost. Otherwise, there is no charge to use the camera or app.The power cord wire is roughly 9.5 feet long. Its weatherproof rating is IP66.It has “2-way” audio (microphone & speaker). The microphone sensitivity and speaker volume cannot be changed but are set to an acceptable level. However, audio is actually one way “at a time”. I.e. while you’re pressing the “intercom” button in the app to speak, you can no longer hear the other person if they say something while you’re talking. And when pressing the button there is a lag due to the Wifi connection which is problematic when trying to have a conversation back and forth. A button/option for concurrent 2-way audio would have been MUCH better.2K resolution with excellent picture quality (day & night). With the white spotlight, it can produce color images at night. Even the black and white infrared images are very clear. Great zoom image quality as well.I was also able to configure my Fitbit Charge 4 watch to receive the notifications (see pics).Motion detection sensitivity is customizable: Low / Medium / High. I found that it has hair trigger sensitivity for any motion, regardless of the sensitivity setting.Even though it’s a PTZ camera, there’s a screen where you can define a motion detection area. However this did not work for me.It has motion tracking that works pretty well and impressed me. I.e. when motion is detected, the camera attempts to keep the moving object in the center of the screen. When the object stops moving or goes out of site, the camera returns to its original location. You can choose continuous or event recording.Since the camera has both a spot light and infra-red lights, you have 3 options for the image at nighttime:1) “Intelligent vision” (black & white switching automatically to color when motion is detected). I.e. the camera will switch from infra-red lights to the white spotlight.2) “Full color night vision” (white spotlight only)3) “Black and white night vision” (infra-red lights only)When motion is detected (at night only), you can also choose to activate the audible alarm and strobe light. Note: Even with this setting turned on, it will not activate during the day for motion. But you are able to manually sound the siren.Things to consider with the above settings;1) With the option of the white spot light and/or siren/strobe for motion detection active, the camera presence will be known and that’s good for deterring unwelcome trespassers. The white spotlight also allows for a color image which is great to identify the color of clothing or a car.2) But if the desire is to monitor an intruder without the camera presence being known (without alarm and spot light) then the image will be the usual black and white taken with infrared lights. The clarity of both nighttime options is excellent. The fact that you have two options to choose from is great. There is also a sound detection option which earns a bonus point in my book. If the camera is mounted inside (or outside in a quiet area), you probably want to be alerted to noises that might happen out of camera sight (e.g. a smoke alarm, breaking glass, etc…). The sound sensitivity is also customizable to be Low / Medium / High.Playback of recordings works well. Two points here: 1) The video playback screen has a calendar and scrollable timeline showing motion detection points (some cameras do not show motion detection points when recording in continuous mode). 2) It also has a summary list screen of motion detections (in the message option) so you don’t have to go scrolling through the timeline. Both are very nice to haves. There is an option for Onvif settings. I don’t use Onvif but I mention it because I know other users often ask about it.If you have multiple Panoraxy cameras (or multiple cameras that use the CloudEdge app), you can view up to 4 concurrently in split screen mode. BUT, when viewing a device from the multiple screen mode, the image resolution is lower and you cannot zoom. To zoom you have to back out and select the specific device from the list.Cons:Despite the Amazon listing stating that you can “Set the detection for human to get more precise detection”, there is actually NO option to filter on Humans for motion detections (see pic). The camera will trigger an alert for ANY type of motion and it will track ANY type of motion. The listing should be corrected! There is not a single thing that can be scheduled. Other cameras that I’ve seen allow for scheduling the active period of motion detections and notifications. With this camera your choice is either both “on” or both “off”.Despite knowing this in advance, I wish that it was Alexa compatible. Like with numerous other cameras when I get an alert, I want to be able to say “Alexa, show me the Panoraxy Cam”, and have it automatically come up on the screen.Albeit minor, it does not have a Windows PC interface. If this is a must for you though, you can install an Android emulator (like MEmu) and then install the app there. It’s not a pretty work around, but it works.Summary:It does have a decent list of great features; being equipped with both IR & spot lights, the ability to provide color images at night, the siren, motion tracking, sound detection etc….However, I was disappointed that it could not filter on humans for motion detection (like the listing had said). This was one of the main reasons I ordered this camera. Without having this, I was deluged with dozens of overnight false alerts from insects, animals and a newly made spider web moving in the wind. This was the case even with the motion detection level set to “low”.I was originally also getting alerts from traffic on the street. Using the “alarm area” screen to try and block out the area in question did NOT work. I received alerts from motion that was defined in the blocked out area. I got around this by moving the camera to not see the street. It’s a shame about some of this camera’s shortcomings because some of the features worked really well and impressed me. I wanted to give it more but since I will only be able to use it in a very limited fashion I can only give it 3 stars.Really great camera. I like the option of ceiling mount or wall mount. It also has a reset button hanging down from the camera so if we need to reset the camera we don't have to uninstall the camera to reach the button. The app was super simple to set up and the camera connected without any issue.I'd recommend. Covers alot of area and can move it to see more, along with motion detection and 2 way audio.I can see when my packages arrive and even see what has been eating my garbage at night, it was a skunk ?You really get what you pay for with this camera.I definitely was impressed with the quality and overall functionality of this camera. Downloading and setting the app up along with setting the camera up was one of the easiest processes I have ever had to do to set up a security camera, just be prepared to use a extension cord if you don’t have many outdoor plugs. I was absolutely blown away by the picture quality. The night vision works amazing and automatically turn on when it gets dark enough. The motion detection is very accurate and responsive. The app makes it very easy to control and record from the camera. Great for anybody looking for some affordable extra security.
